About Us

EDUKOS — a citizens’ association whose name stands for “Learning, Art, Culture, Education, Sport” — was founded on 17 July 2017 in Kragujevac. We came together with a desire to give children, young people and adults more opportunities to learn, create and take an active part in their community. We believe that knowledge belongs beyond the classroom, and that art, culture and sport should be accessible to everyone.

Our aims are to improve education, encourage creativity, bring science and culture closer to people, and raise awareness of environmental protection. Sport and recreation also have an important place in our work, offering opportunities to socialize, cooperate and lead an active life. We pursue these aims through projects, workshops, educational programmes and collaboration with schools, institutions, other associations and individuals.

EDUKOS is a nonprofit association open to people who want to contribute their knowledge, experience and ideas to our shared work. We want a community that encourages curiosity, values creativity and gives people opportunities to learn and develop their abilities at every age. That is why we work to turn good ideas into activities that leave something valuable for people and the place we call home.
